Matt and April are wonderful!!! First, they agreed to do a shoot for me on Christmas Eve, which was **incredibly** generous. I've never done anything like this before and am incredibly shy (because I'm an introvert but also because I am not a small girl), and they were both exceedingly patient with me and very respectful of my limits. When I would get a little overwhelmed they would let me relax and regain composure. They encouraged me to stop them if I felt uncomfortable, but often I didn't even need to say anything. I never felt threatened or exposed (in a violent way) or anything of the kind. The atmosphere was quite relaxed and I fully appreciate it! Matt is a master at his craft: expertly clicking off candid shots as well as the posed ones and using not only regular flash but also very cool lighting for his shoots--one of the artistically lit photos I could clearly see on the cover of a gritty noir novel! If you've never done something like this before, or are nervous about it, do it anyway and trust Matt and April with it. This is the best first experience you could have!! 😁
